2025 is the final year of the 14th Five Year Plan and a crucial year for the systematic planning of the 15th Five Year  Plan.
The Ministry of Ecology and Environment will adhere to precise, scientific, and lawful pollution control, and achieve high-quality completion of the 14th Five Year Plan.
Specifically, we need to highlight environmental air quality management, pollution control and emission reduction, accelerate key tasks such as clean heating, ultra-low emission transformation, volatile organic compound (VOCs) pollution control, and mobile source prevention and control, and comprehensively promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the three major structures of industry, energy, and transportation.
At the same time, highlighting pollution response.
Continuously deepen the phased and differentiated control of long-term and large-scale heavy pollution response in autumn and winter, further enhance predictive and forecasting capabilities, strengthen regional joint prevention and control and supervision assistance, and effectively reduce the impact of heavy pollution weather.
This year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will launch the preparation of the "Action Plan for Continuous Improvement of Air Quality (2026-2035)".
