1.Low conduction loss:
On-resistance of SIC is only about 15% of that of that of MOSFET,which means that on-loss of SIC is 85% lower than that of MOSFET. At the same time,both calorific value and requirement of water cooling get reduced.
2.Low switching loss
The high switching speed of SIC means the reduction of switching loss and the possibility of producing ultra-high frequency welding machine in special welding field.
3.Low driving loss
The input capacitance and gate charge of SIC are only 20% of those of MOSFET,leading to low power consumption of driving circuit and significant reduction of chassis temperture.
