How to judge the power consumption of high frequency welding machine

Usually, the power consumption of our high-frequency welded pipe manufacturers are based on the power consumption per ton of steel to judge the energy consumption of the welding machine. We often encounter manufacturers who directly ask the high-frequency welding machine equipment suppliers how much the power consumption per ton of steel is during production, so as to judge the energy saving status or performance of the equipment. In fact, this method is totally wrong to judge the quality of equipment. Why? The reason is that the consumption of welding power is various.

Because the factors that affect the power of welding machine include welding speed, welding V angle, welding V angle length (the length from the extrusion center of induction welding to the induction coil or the length from the extrusion center of contact to the contact), welding frequency, the selection of induction coil specifications, the use effect of impedance, the output matching state of electrical characteristics of equipment, etc. These factors will be different in the operation of different welding machine operators, and different pipe diameter and wall thickness parameters are completely different for welding machine. The same wall thickness and different pipe diameter are also completely different in power consumption per ton of steel. The mechanical way of seeking power consumption per ton of steel can not really judge the advantages and disadvantages of equipment energy consumption.

So how to evaluate the energy consumption of high frequency welding machine scientifically? Generally, on the premise of ensuring the quality of welding products to meet the final requirements, we can judge by the energy consumption coefficient K. how to judge the size of K is calculated as follows:

K=P/(d * V1/2)

P: Welding power kw

d: Wall thickness mm

V: Welding speed M / min

Generally, K coefficient less than 9 is an excellent value. In fact, it should be adjusted and determined according to the process speed and welding product quality requirements of specific products. It is not that the more excellent the energy consumption is, the better. The key is to ensure the product quality. In the case of ensuring the product quality, the smaller the K is, the better
